Kashagan deals in the offing

The companies developing Kazakhstan's huge offshore Kashagan oilfield,located in the northern Caspian Sea,are to get stakes in an operating company once oil production commences,sometime around 2013.In addition to Italian operator Eni,Kashagan oilfield interest holders include Royal Dutch Shell,ExxonMobil,Total,ConocoPhillips,Inpex Holdings,and Kazakhstan's state-run energy company KazMunaiGas.
