In industry,products are manufactured with the help of designers and colourists who know that a consumer's decision to purchase any product is based about 60% on its colour.Obviously,the right colour can make or break a product,and determine its success or failure as a manufactured product.DuPont claim that 40% of car consumers will change brand if the colour they want is not available.Colourists look to many areas for help before making decisions on new colours for their products,including the competition,related products,past colour successes and failures,global influences,and economic conditions.The process of identifying colours becomes more sophisticated and the influences on consumers are so diverse it becomes impossible to declare a single colour as the 'New Trend'.There are major social trends and psychometrics that identify and divide us into tribes according to tastes and lifestyles.
