Continued delays and an inability to secure either major partners or customers have left the government frustrated with InterOil's Ni- ugini Project. The government is watching the rise of successive LNG projects in nearby Australia, with concern that delays may prevent the Liquid Niugini project from coming online early enough to take advantage of high gas prices in Asia that are likely to ease as more supplies from Russia, North America and Africa enter the market.
