ESFAHAN Petrochemical plans to build a phenol/acetone facility in Esfahan,Iran,said a source from its parent company,National Petrochemical Co (NPC).An Esfahan source said the new plant would produce 100 000 tonne/year of phenol and 61 000 tonne/year of acetone when it starts up in 2008.Invitation-to-bid documents have been sent to interested companies and the results would be known in a few months.
