South Korean PE and PP producers were last week portraying Chinese demand as sufficiently strong for them to continue to fully pass on the steep rise in feedstock costs. However with the Chinese New Year holidays rapidly approaching and with some end-users struggling to achiever their own price rises, the concern among traders and industry observers was that tough decisions over operating rates were imminent.
