Worker, public, and pipeline safety discussed at AGA conference

Tools and technology are a key part of keeping natural gas systems safe, but cultivating a more intangible industry-wide safety culture is the foundation of any effort to ensure the safety of infrastructure and employees. That was the focus at AGAs seventh annual Safety Summit, as more than 140 natural gas industry leaders gathered in Washington, D.C., in early November. Presentations and discussions involving CEOs, utility safety directors, regulators, union workplace safety champions, and more illuminated the daily efforts of natural gas utilities—working with regulators and safety advocates—to keep safety their top priority.
