ASCE: Working for You

摘要

The Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI), established by ASCE this year, will be bestowing a new award, the Mindlin Medal. The new institute hopes to become the premier organization for those concerned with engineering mechanics by effectively serving the needs of practitioners worldwide. It will also promote both research and the application of scientific and mathematical principles to address a broad range of new and existing engineering and societal problems. The EMI has 14 technical committees addressing a variety of advanced topics and is also responsible for the highly regarded Journal of Engineering Mechanics.
