The diesel-electric icebreaker Viktor Chernomyrdin is now expected to be delivered to Russia's state-run ports agency Rosmorport in 2018, two years later than initially scheduled, Rosmor- port fleet development and construc- tion director Vladimir Shtrambrand says. The 25MW icebreaker is expected to support operations along the North- ern Sea Route through Russia's Arctic waters. Construction of the Viktor Chernomyrdin began in October 2012 at St Petersburg's Baltiysk shipyard, part of state-run shipbuilder OSK.
