Rail delays hit Ukraine exports

Rail exports of Russian gasoil to Ukraine have been disrupted since mid- July after Ukrainian customs introduced limits on the amount that can cross the border within a 24-hour period, in a bid to ease tankcar congestion, market participants say. Only the Solovei-Topoli crossing has been used for Russian gasoil supplies in recent months. At least three crossings were used previously. The restrictions have yet to have a serious impact. Russia was due to export 50,000-60,000t of gasoil to Ukraine in July, against 82,000t in June.
