Ukraine’s Ferrexpo H1 iron ore pellet sales hit by rail delays

Ukraine-based iron ore minerFerrexpo said Thursday it sold 4.798 millionmt of pellets in the first half, down 5.3% yearon year, and more went to Southeast Asia,including sales into Vietnam and Taiwan.The company saw disruption in the secondquarter from railing delays and productioncut by refurbishment at its pellet plant toone production line, the company said in anearnings update. In Q2, pellet production was2.51 million mt, down from 2.57 million mt in Q1and 2.53 million mt in Q2 2017.
