Naphtha-rich crudes gain support

Crude prices fell below $80/bl as temperatures rose in the northern hemisphere. High crude stocks further pressured values. US benchmark WTI fell by $3.27/bl to $79.39/bl, while Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated was down by $2.67/bl to $77.78/bl.Benchmark-setting Forties strengthened against North Sea Dated, as prompt naphtha refining margins showed signs of recovery in Europe. Naphtha margins were stronger in the Asia-Pacific market, but higher freight rates are limiting opportunities to move Forties to the region.
