High stocks decimate prices

Crude prices fell by more than lOpc, as gasoline and distillate stocks rose and the dollar strengthened.Pessimism over the rate at which the world economy is pulling out of recession added to the downward pressure. US benchmark August WTI dropped by $6.32/bl to $60.41/bl in the week to 9 July, while Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated fell by $6.97/bl to $59.23/bl, dipping below the $60/bl mark for the first time since late May.
