Refiners struggle to place middle distillate surplus

Singapore is struggling to place a gasoil surplus. Regional refinery runs and stocks are rising, demand is weak, and the arbitrage to ship gasoil to Europe is closed. Singapore onshore middle distillate stocks are at a record 15.42mn bl. And clean products in floating storage in Asia-Pacific, mostly middle distillates, rose by 6mn bl to 14.5mn bl in September (AGM, 5 October, p5).
