Oil demand in the emerging economies of Asia-Pacific is picking up rapidly, in contrast to developed countries.Demand in China, India and South Korea grew by 3.6pc in the five months to October compared with a year earlier - the highest rate of growth since early 2008. Oil sales in October were 1. lmn b/d higher than a year earlier, led by a 750,000 b/d increase in gasoline and diesel sales.
