Strong demand for the lightest products has seen naphtha-rich Algerian light sweet Saharan Blend(46° API)sage by US2/bl against dated BFO over two months.This has pulled the grade to northwest Europe and Ike US where naphtha and diesel demand are particularly strong.This has pushed Saharan Blend to an unusual premium to slightly heavier gasoline and distillate-rich Nigerian Qua Iboe(36 deg API)(see graph).
