Shipping rates come out higher for 2007

Worldscale flat rates,used to price the vast majority of oil tanker fixtures,have been set at sharply higher levels for 2007.The new flat rates will be available from Worldscale from mid-December.The new rates are based on a 37pc rise in bunker fuel prices for the 12 months to 30 September compared with the preceding 12 months.
