Pre-Engineered Buildings construction is catching up fast with 20 pct annual growth in India

The industry in India is growing by 20 per cent year-on-year and is set to be competitive with the proposed entry of the Reliance Industries Ltd through a joint venture with Dubai- based Mammut Group. RIL plans to set up a Rs 450-crore PEB facility in Gujarat, likely to be commissioned by the end of 2008. Meanwhile, Kirby Building Systems (India), the Indian subsidiary of Kuwait's largest private sector player Al-ghanim industries, is also planning to open its third facility in the Western region taking its total steel fabrication capacity to 325.000 tons a year.
