AP Moeller-Maersk to Utilize the Jahre Viking as a Storage Tanker at the Al Shaheen Field

The Denish company AP Moeller-Maersk has chartered the world's largest oil tanker,the Jahre Viking,for use as a storage facility in Qatar over a five-year period.The tanker,which can hold 4.2 million barrels of crude,will be installed at the site of the offshore Al Shahfeen field in June-July,after being converted into a storage vessel at the shipyards of Dubai Drydocks Company (DDC) at a cost of US22 million.
