Global oil prices rose, supported by a large US crude stockdraw and the biggest fall in US Atlantic coast gasoline inventories in 25 years. Atlantic basin crude benchmark North Sea Dated rose by 95¢/bl to $47.27/bl in the week to 22 September, while US marker October WTI rose by $2.23/bl to $46.14/bl. North Sea Dated’s premium to WTI fell to $1.13/bl from more than $3/ bl just three days earlier.
