Medgaz Gasline Estimated to Have Cost $1 Billion Altogether

The European Investment Bank (EIB) decided at the end of November to advance a loan of 500 million euros to the Medgaz consortium, which built and is going to operate the gasline of the same name. The EIB, which points out that this is its biggest Mediterranean region, says the gasline cost $1,009 million altogether, whereas a figure of 900 million euros had been mentioned earlier.
