Taqa Awards a Technical Services Contract to Senergy for the Bergermeer Gas Storage Project

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has awarded a contract to the British firm Senergy for work on the development of the Bergermeer underground gas storage facility in the Netherlands. The facility will have an initial storage capacity of 4.1 billion cubic meters and the project calls for the drilling of 14 new wells, among other things. Under the terms of its contract, Senergy will undertake pre-operational work entailing the verification of FEED (front-end engineering and design) studies and the detailed design for MPD (managed pressure drilling) services. In the case of these MPD services, Senergy will implement an innovative solution utilizing its proprietary technology.
