EU wine harvest improved slightly despite drought

The EU’s wine production will be slightly higher than last year despite the impact of severe droughts across Europe, according to new industry figures. On 25 October, European farming association Copa-Cogeca presented its EU wine harvest estimates for 2022/23 and said production would increase “marginally” by 2% from last year, but still fall below the latest five-year average.
