摘要

The Mexican government unveiled an expanded deal last week with major food retailers and producers aimed at facilitating imports of key food products, while also moving to pause exports of certain food and food packaging-related goods in a bid to bolster domestic supply amid rising prices. The latest deal is an extension of Mexico’s Package Against Inflation and Famine (PACIC) announced in May. The plan aims to stabilize prices for a basket of 24 key food and consumer goods including corn tortillas, rice, tomatoes, milk and toilet paper.
