Daelim to Carry Out Preliminary Engineering Work for the Maaden/Sahara Petrochemicals Complex in Jubail

In a statement filed with the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul) on 7 March, Sahara Petrochemicals Company announced that, together with Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden), it had signed an agreement with Daelim Industrial Company of South Korea covering the preliminary engineering of the complex that Sahara and Maaden are developing in Jubail. The complex is to be built at the site of the Sahara Petrochemicals complex and is to be developed by a 50:50% joint venture between the two Saudi companies. The engineering work to be carried out by Daelim is expected to take nine months and to cost SR 154 million ($41 million).
