Takreer Studying the Construction of a New 417,000-B/D Oil Refinery in Ruwais

Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) is studying plans for the development of a new refinery in Ruwais,according to the company's Managing Director,Mr.Jasem Ali Sayegh.Addressing the 9th annual meeting of the Middle East Refining Conference,Mr.Sayegh indicated that the new plant would have a capacity of 417,000 b/d and was due to be in production by 2013.The project is currently at the front-end engineering and design (FEED) stage,and if it is given the go-ahead,it would increase Abu Dhabi's total refining capacity to 902,000 b/d from 485,000 b/d at present.
