Bayer to divest Indian Environmental Science business

Bayer’s Crop Science division has decided to divest its Indian non-crop pesticide Environmental Science professional solutions business to the Thane-based company, 2022 ES Discovery India, on a slump sale basis for Rs 1,111 million ($14 million at the current rate). The development follows a decision earlier this year to divest the division’s global Environmental Science business to UK private equity fund Cinven for $2.6 billion.
