Lallemand/Embrapa debut new biocontrol in Brazil

Canadian business Lallemand’s Brazilian enterprise, Lallemand Solu es Agrobiológicas (Patos de Minas), and Brazilian agricultural research corporation’s rice and bean division Embrapa Arroz e Feijao have launched a biocontrol agent based on fungus isolate Cordyceps javanica. The C javanica BRM 27666 strain version, Lalguard Java, is the first product to have debuted in Brazil based on the substance. Lalguard Java is for the control of silverleaf whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) on any crop in which the pest is detected.
