EGAS Offers Seven Offshore Blocks in the Mediterranean for Exploration

Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) has launched its international bid round 2008, offering seven offshore blocks in the Mediterranean Sea for oil and gas exploration. Interested companies can consult or obtain available data on the tracts at the prices indicated in the table below. The price for consulting 2-D and 3-D seismic data and well reports is equivalent to 20% of the purchase price, with the minimum payment set at 2,000 for each block. The closing date for bids is 9 February 2009.
