Net Earnings of Industries Qatar More Than Doubled to 1.26 Billion in the First Half of 2008

Industries Qatar(IQ)has announced that its net earnings more than doubled to QR 4.6 billion(1.26 billion)in the first half of 2008 from QR 2.05 billion in the corresponding six months of 2007.The increase is mainly attributable to a rise in the prices of the products commercialized by its subsidiaries and hence in their profits.
