Kuwait Oil Company(KOC)has awarded an EPC(engineering,procurement and construction)contract worth KD 64.86 million(US223.6 million)to the Turkish company Tekfen for the construction of eight crude oil storage tanks at the al-Ahmadi export terminal.The work will increase KOC's crude storage capacity from 16 million barrels at present to 20.9 million barrels.The new tanks will each have a capacity of 618,000 barrels and are to be built at the South Tank Farm of al-Ahmadi."
