GlobalSantaFe Sells its Onshore Drilling Rigs to Precision Drilling

GlobalSantaFe Corporation,which is 18.7% owned by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC),and Precision Drilling Corporation announced on 2 April that they had concluded a definitive agreement under which Precision is to purchase all the onshore drilling assets worldwide of GlobalSantaFe for US316.5 million in cash.The operation is due to be finalized before the end of the second quarter.
