There are no longer free players in the steel market which is facing a new globalisation which can be given the title: "Steel Prices Globalisation". The steel products markets today seem to be more interconnected, which is revealed by the rise of the steel price which has taken an international feature because it is no longer limited to a certain market and not to the other. It has become a phenomenon covering all steel markets and products in addition to the presence of variances affected by a number of factors mainly connected with the costs of steel inputs. But, even though what is said is true that there are no free players, it must be stressed that there are some major players imposing a strong presence on this industry. They have the capacity to determine the trends of the world markets. This is what had practically taken place to the prices of steel in the year 2003 and early 2004.
