Dr. Ali Hilmi: Sales Value Increased and Exports Doubled

The total exports of the Egyptian Iron and Steel Company during the last five years amounted to more than one million tons at a total value of about 1.15 billion Egyptian Pounds of which about 465 million Egyptian Pounds in the last year only covers about 25 percent of the total value of the sales of the year, taking into account that 56 percent of the company's exportsWent to the European countries and 38 percent to the Arab countries, Dr. Ali Hilmi announced in the symposium held in the headquarters of the company in Helwan on 27 and 28 February 2005 under the title: "Present and Future of the Egyptian Iron and Steel Company" which was opened by Dr. Mah-moud Muhyeddeen, Minister of Investment. This symposium was attended by 170 specialists representing the industrial companies, universities, research centres and consultants from a number of international companies. Dr. Hilmi added that the company's sales in the last year amounted to about 1.8 billion Egyptian Pounds. The company realized a gross profit before deducting the funding burdens and taxes amounting to 462 million Egyptian Pounds in the same year.
