Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical Invite Companies to Propose Process Technologies for Then-Planned Complex

The joint venture between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company that is developing an integrated refining-and-petrochemical complex in Ras Tanura has invited companies to submit proposals for various lots of process technology,according to the specialized web site Plastemart.Saudi Aramco has undertaken to contact companies regarding technologies for the different units of the refinery,while Dow Chemical is to do likewise for the petrochemical units.The U.S.company is to supply its own production process for most of the 30 units downstream from the ethane cracker,but it is looking for processes for units producing complex products,such as cumene and phenol.
