Yemen's First Private Sector Refinery Project Given the Go-Ahead

There has been talk of building a new refinery in Yemen for many years,but now it looks as though an important step towards that goal may have been taken.The government has approved an agreement signed between Hadramout Refineries Company, a consortium of private investors in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emitrates,and Samsung under which Hadramout Refineries is to supply the South Korean company with 8.8 million tones of gas oil and atmospheric residue over a 10-year period.
