Aker Kvaerner Wins FEED Contract for the North Adriatic LNG Terminal

Aker Kvaerner has been awarded a contract worth about US21 million for carrying out the FEED (front-end engineering and design) work for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) reception terminal to be built on Italy's Adriatic coast.Known as the North Adriatic Liquefied Natural Gas Terminal Project,it is being developed by Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Exxon Mobil Corporation,which have 45% interests each,in association with Edison Gas (10%),under the terms of an agreement concluded between the three parties last November (AOG,1 Dec.,2003).
