Total Gas & Power Signs an Agreement with South Hook Gas for the Use of the Milford Haven LNG Terminal

South Hook Gas Company Ltd., a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP - 70%) and ExxonMobil (30%), has signed an agreement with Total Gas & Power Limited giving the British subsidiary of the French company Total access to the LNG import and regasification services of the South Hook terminal at Milford Haven, in Wales. Total holds an 8.35% equity stake in South Hook LNG Terminal Company Ltd. in association with QP (67.5%) and ExxonMobil (24.15%). The terminal, which was inaugurated on 12 May 2009, has a capacity of 15.6 million tons/year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and receives LNG from trains 4 and 5 of Qatargas II, each of which has a capacity of 7.8 million tons/year. Total has a 16.7% interest in train 5 alongside QP (65%) and ExxonMobil (18.3%), while train 4 is controlled by QP (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%).
