Companies Interested in Offshore Exploration in Lebanon Must Submit Prequalification Applications by 28 March

At a press conference on 15 February, the Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water, Mr. Gebran Bassil, announced the start of the prequalification process for companies interested in participating in the first bid round for oil and gas exploration in Lebanon's territorial waters. "The period for submitting applications will end on 28 March," he announced, adding that his ministry and the Petroleum Administration Authority (PAA) would give themselves a further three weeks before announcing the names of the selected companies. The prequalified companies will be known on 18 April, therefore.
