Kogas Signs SPA for the Purchase of an Additional 2.1 Million Tons/Year of LNG Over 20 Years

Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Ltd.(3) (RasGas 3) has signed a 20-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with Korea Gas Corporation (Kogas) for the supply of an additional 2.1 million tons/year of liquefied natural gas (LNG) over the period from 2007 to 2026.Kogas already purchases 4.92 million tons/year of LNG from RasGas under two 25-year agreements signed in 1995 and 1997,which took effect in 1999,when the first two trains of RasGas' liquefaction plant in Ras Laffan started up.
