摘要

As part of the preparation for each of its ministerial meetings,OPEC always carries out a very detailed analysis of the trends and prospects for world oil supply and demand, stocks and prices, and does so on the basis not only of its own assessments and projections but also of those emanating from other sources.Among these, the International Energy Agency (IEA) occupies a special place because of the resources it has at its disposal and the quality and credibility of its work. With the Oil and Energy Ministers of OPEC member countries due to meet in Vienna on 30 January, the IEA sent a very clear message to the organization in the January edition of its Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR):the time has not yet come to reduce production, quite the contrary.
