Governmental Agreement Signed for the Export of Egyptian Gas to Israel

The Egypian Oil Minister,Mr.Sameh Fahmy,and the Israeli Minister of National Infrastructure,Mr.Benjamin Ben-Eliezer,signed an agreement in Cairo on 30 June providing for Egypt to export natural gas to Israel.This agreement is due to be followed in the coming days by the signing of a commercial contract between Israel Electric Corporation (IEC) and the Egyptian-Israeli consortium Eastern Mediterranean Gas (EMG) for the supply of 1.7 billion cu m/year of gas.
