The Three Consortia Frequalified for Project Kuwait Will Be Invited to Submit Bids in the Second Half of 2004

The three consortia prequalified for Project Kuwait,the scheme for developing oilfields in the north of the country,will be invited to submit their proposals in the second half of 2004,according to the Public Relations and Information Manager of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC),Mr.Bader al-Zuwayer.In an interview with the newspaper Arab Times,he explained that this was a very important project and that the procedure for obtaining the necessary approvals was lengthy,adding that the legal framework of the project had not yet been finalized,although it was at an "advanced stage".
