Consortium Composed of Linde and Samsung to Build the Tasnee/Sahara Acrylic Acid Complex in Jubail

Sahara Petrochemical Company and National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee) have informed the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul) that their two subsidiaries, Saudi Acrylic Monomers Co. (Samco) and Saudi Acrylic Acid Co. (SAAC), have awarded an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract to a consortium composed of Linde AG of Germany and Samsung Engineering of South Korea covering the acrylic acid complex they are developing in Jubail. Samco and SAAC are both subsidiaries of Tasnee Sahara Olefins Company (TSOC), which will have a 75% interest in the complex in association with Rohm and Haas, which was recently taken over by The Dow Chemical Company (25%).
