摘要

Despite the increase in oil revenues, Kuwait's state budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year, which ended on 31 March, recorded a gross surplus that was 4% down at KD 12,700.9 million ($44.6 billion) compared with KD 13,228.7 million in 2011-12, which remains the all-time high. According to final figures for the 2012-13 budget following the closure of accounts, which were published recently by the Ministry of Finance, total receipts in 2012-13 amounted to KD 32 billion, including oil revenues of KD 29.97 billion ($105.2 billion), up from KD 28,569.6 million in 2011-12, while expenditure totaled KD 19,307.6 million, as against KD 17.7 billion the year before.
