Maersk Oil Awards More Contracts to NPCC and Siemens for the Expansion of the Al Shaheen Field

Maersk Oil Qatar has awarded another two contracts for the further development of the offshore Al Shaheen field -one to Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and one to the German company Siemens Power Generation (Siemens PG).NPCC has won what it describes as the "largest contract"in its history,which is for lots 17 and 18 of the project.The EPIC contract covers the design,engineering,procurement,fabrication,offshore installation,hook-up and commissioning of facilities at locations "G"and "E".
