FeSi price decrease likely to slow down in Europe

Spot prices for FeSi (75 Si) kept sliding in Europe in September, losing EUR 39/t (4) on average. The workable price range is EUR 900-960/t DDP. Q4 contracts are signed within this range (the average Q3 price has been EUR 1,000/t DDP). FeSi prices in China are close to the 2016 lowest, yet there are no fundamental reasons for the trend to reverse. Domestic prices for FeSi (75 Si) have dropped in China by 7 m-o-m to $816/t EXW in September, which is a mere 11 above the minimal 2016 average.
