Price increase to be curbed by poor demand

Prices for Ukrainian SiMn (70 Mn; 17 Si) have dropped in Turkey this month by $10/t on the upper end of the range, the bottom end of it staying unchanged - $1,120-1,130/t CIF. The material (65 Mn; 16 Si) from India has been available at $1,065-1,075/t CIF ($1,020-1,055/t CIF last month). Prices for import FeSi are quoted at $1,120/t CIF for Iranian material (72 Si) and at $1,350/t CIF for Chinese material (75 Si), rose by 8 m-o-m. Ferrosilicon offers from Russian suppliers have not been received this month yet. The Turks, however, are mostly staying away from purchases, sitting on healthy stocks. Besides, the market for steel products is uncertain.
