First of four for Swire Pacific

Drydocks World recently announced the launch of Pacific Defiance, an anchor handling tug supply vessel built at its Singapore facility in Tuas Basin for Swire Pacific Offshore. The vessel was launched ahead of the scheduled date in September as the first in a four-ship series. The sisterships have been named as Pacific Discovery, Pacific Dispatch and Pacific Dragon and are scheduled to be delivered this year and next. The ABS-classed vessel, with a bollard pull of more than 200 tonnes, is powered by four MAN Diesel 9L27/38 engines in a twin-propeller geared drive sys- tem. Service speed is 12kt.
