Activity slowed this week as vessels were largely out of position delivering previously loaded cargoes or returning to port. One 12,000dwt asphalt tanker was set to deliver a Venezuelan cargo into Providence over the weekend. A second tanker was seen loading on Thursday at a Venezuelan port. The Amuay refinery, still operating at roughly 50pc of nameplate capacity, is currently processing about 318,000bl of crude, a PdV official said.
