DFD Wins SCR Contract, Nears Completion On Others

Duke Fluor Daniel (DFD) has been tapped to install a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit at utility sister company Duke Power's 2,240 MW Belews Creek plant in Stokes County, N.C.The project entails the installation of an SCR system on each of the two 1,120 MW coal- and oil-fired units operating at the site. Engineering, procurement and construction will be handled by DFD, in consort with emissions specialist Babcock Borsig Power.
